Stopped in on a Saturday night after getting tattoos at Legacy Tattoo(my Mother's Day gift) and I had forgotten how much I love Cassanos!! Everyone was super nice, the dining room was clean and the food was so good!! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Springboro!
It is either hit or miss here. But it got one star tonight because after paying $30 w/tip. I got a large deluxe and I swear it weighed ten pounds with toppings & why usually more is good, I am not sure if this was an older pizza that got left and they added more toppings to cover that fact. After tasting the pizza I am gonna go with the latter. Probably not gonna order here for awhile.
Cassano's has been around and a favorite for our family a long time. The quality in general has always been consistently good. The pricing gets kinda steep compared to a lot of other chains however, which is really the only downside I can speak of.Their sausage isn't like your typical chunks you find at most other pizza places which allows for a better topping distribution. Light cheese with plenty of pepperoni that crisps up nice. The edges of the pizza where the cheese meets gets nice and caramelized. We got ours light baked so we could finish it at home for dinner. Turned out excellent once finished!

First off let me elaborate by saying I am not a fan of Midwest style pizza. Nonexistent sauce, waxy cheese, and cut into squares. These are all red flags for me.
I grew up with Cassano's, my whole family has worked there and their pizza is ok now but I liked it a lot better when they used the pizza boards, added salt to the crust and monitored the ovens for when the pizza was cooked correctly. This location has a nice atmosphere, the pizza was done and tasted good, but can't help but miss the more old fashioned flavor Cassano's used to have.
